Summary of the year 2011:
Pelle gained 1st prize in his very first Winners class blood
tracking competition
Pelle gained the titles C.I.B, Estonian, Norweigian and Nordic
Champion
Uno took part to 3 shows taking Best Of Breed Veteran 3 times!
Uno won Veteran Championship competition in lure coursing and got
the new title VMM-2011
Pelle won Derby Championship competition in lure coursing and got
the new title DVM-2011
Pelle won Finnish Championship in lure coursing and gained the title
SMM-2011
Pelle gained 1st prize in obedience Beginners class and moved up to
Open class
Pelle was again invited to Champion of Champions gala (invitation
competition for the best show dogs of the year among all breeds)
Pelle is for 2nd year in a row the winner of Finnish Show Ridgeback
list so he is the most successful RR in Finland in 2010 and now also
in 2011

In
obedience competition in Porvoo Pelle took 1st prize with 173 points
and moved up to Open class.

The
closure of the show year was again held in Helsinki double Winner
Shows.
On Saturday in Helsinki Winner show Pelle got plain EXC from judge
Mr. Jean Pierre Achtergael, BE but on Sunday we had a great day as
Pelle won high quality champion and BM competition and finally was
chosen as Best Of Breed. Breed entry was 66. In finals he was picked
up among 7 best but then was dropped out. A great closure anyway!

|
Norweigian Winner Show in Lillestrom, NO. Judge for the breed was
Mrs. Elina Haapaniemi, FI and breed entry 63. Pelle placed second in
Champions and Best Male class and got Norweigian CAC. Therefore he
can now be presented as brand new NO & NORD Champion. Our travel
buddy Neela (owned by Päivi Sormunen) placed 4th in top quality
champion class. On our way back home we visited Pelles breeder
Libban in Värmdö. Thanks Päivi for a lovely trip and thank you
Libban for a great dinner and companion!

We
did a trip to Jyväskylä for double International Show. On Saturday
breed judge was Mr. Harri Lehkonen, FI. Pelle placed 4th in Champion
class with CQ and 4th in Best Male competition.
On Sunday breed was judged by Rita Reyniers, BE. Pelles result was
CH EXC3 with CQ but no placement in BM competition.

Seinäjoki International. Breed judge was Mrs. Leni Finne, FI. Pelle
placed 2nd in Champion and in BM competition and got res-CACIB.

In
Porvoo National Show (our home show) Pelle again did great by
winning first champion class with EXC and CQ, then Best Male
competition and finally being BOB. Judge was Paavo Mattila
and breed entry 20.

|
Vantaa National show. Both of my boys were entered - also Uno
to veteran class. Judge for the breed was Mr. Igor Selimovic. Pelles
result was CH EXC2, CQ, BM-2. Uno was chosen as BOB-veteran
and also placed 4th in Best Male competition. This was Unos 3rd
Veteran show and 3rd BOB-veteran in a row.

Pelle is a brand new Finnish Championship winner in Lure Coursing!
Finnish Championship Lure Coursing trial in Helsinki. Pelle did
GREAT by winning the trial and title SMM-2011 with 480 points
and his 3rd LC CAC. Uno (8,5 years!) did a great run in the
beginning but unfortunately lost the "rabbit" in the field and
didn´t make it to the finals. Any way a great performance for a
veteran dog.
For now on Pelle has won all the title trials where he has entered.
4 trials and 3 CAC´s so only one trial where he didn´t win (althought
he got shared 1st place but lost the CAC). Not bad! For Uno this was unfortunately his
last official trial because of the age limit and also the first
trial where he didn´t make it to the finals.

Pelle passed the Swedish Mental Test (MT) for adult dogs with
nice and Pelle-look-alike protocoll. According to the test leader
Barbro Börjesson (SE) he is balanced dog in everything he does. He
is rather soft but he´s quite brave and has a good ability to act
and recoveres very fast. He didn´t show any stress reaction during
the test so like Barbro said "Mycket trevligt hane!" (=Very nice
male!)

|
We
spend a day in HOT Helsinki International show. Judge was Mr. Kari
Järvinen. FI. Pelles result was CH EXC1, CQ, BM-3, CACIB.

|
Tuusula National. Only Pelle took part. Judge for the breed was Mr.
Juhani Lappi, FI and for the group Mrs. Leni Finne, FI. Pelle did
great by being BOB and finally BIG-1.

Double International Show in Pärnu, Estonia. Both of my boys took
part - Uno did his debut in veteran class. On Saturday judge was Mrs.
Saija Juutilainen, FI. Uno got EXC1 in Veteran class and was choosen
as BOB-veteran. Pelle placed 2nd in champion class and Best
Male class with CAC and res-CACIB (will be confirmed as CACIB)
becoming International Champion (C.I.B)* and Estonian champion.

our judge was Mr. Unto Timonen, FI. Only Uno too part. I kept Pelle
out of the competition cause he already gained CAC and CACIB day
before. Uno did great winning again BOB-veteran and placing
BM-3 in Best Male competition.

|
Pelle took a blood tracking trial in Köyliö with no result
(0-prize). This time the heet and game disturbed Pelles work on a
track.

|
Both
boys took part to Jyväskylä Lure Coursing Derby & Veteran
championship trial with gRReat results. Pelle won Derby class
with LC CAC (472 points) and title DVM-2011. Uno took the
Veteran class win for second time in a row with LC CAC
(404 points) and title VMM-2011.

|
Pelle was showed in Hamina International show. Breed judge was Mr. Boris
Spoljaric, CR and Pelles result CH EXC2, CQ, BM-2, res-CACIB (will be
confirmed as CACIB).

Pelle made a debut in winners class in Blood Tracking. The trial was
held in Heinola and Pelle performed well with 1st
prize (42 points). Judge was Mr. Pasi Kemppainen.

Show
weekend in Tampere. On saturday Pelle attended to Tampere
International show. RR entry was 35 and judge Sharon Sakson, US.
Pelle won champion class and best male competition with CQ and CACIB
and was choosen as Best Of Breed. In group finals he placed
as 3rd Best In Group by judge Norman Deshuymere, BE.

On
sunday Pelle entered to RR Speciality. RR entry was about 80 and
judge Mrs. Elisabeth Megginson, SA. Pelle got EXC and CQ in big
champion class and was "last unplaced".

|
Pelle won in Lappeenranta International second year in a row! We had
a nice day in warm and sunny Lappeenranta on Sunday. Judge for the
breed was August De Wilde, BE. Pelle again won the champion class
with CQ, placed as Best Male and finally also Best Of
Breed. In group competition Pelle placed 2nd Best In Group.
Group judge was Mrs. Leni Finne, FI.

|
Lahti International Show. Judge for the breed was Tiina Illukka. FI.
Pelle won champion class with CQ and placed 3rd in BM competition.

Pelle was awarded the trophy of most successful show RR in 2010
by Ridgeback Club of Finland (Portinvartijan Malja). He also is
the winner of Finnish Show Ridgeback 2010 list.
In Finnish Kennel Club’s ranking for Top-100 show dogs of a year
2010 Pelles placement was 38th (at the moment as 28th in 2011
competition) and he got the invitation to the Champion of Champions
Gala Show which was held in February 2011 (picture below). Go Pelle!
