Uno
had some snowgames today in Pyhtää. Take a look a new gallery "Snowgames

Uno´s show season is off for this year. He will be shown next time in

Mauno and I debyted in Kotka obedience trial. Unfortunately we lost
our 1st prize already in the first task: Mauno´s inside clock was 5
seconds ahead off judges time and he decided to stand up from long
down. Our result was finally 134 points and 3rd prize. Judge: Reija
Puolakka.

I
have been lazy with updates...
Uno is doing fine. We have been more active in obedience training
lately and Uno has showed very nice development and motivation. I have
also started to train more serious obedience with Mauno and we are
about to do our debyt on 5th November in Kotka obedience trials.
Uno has been busy when searching guys from the woods and from ruin
track. He has done extremely good work in every training session. I
guess we have found the adabtable amount of "power and brake".

One
new experience for Uno and me: we hit an elk last night when we were
coming from my parents house. Both of us are okay, I got quite many
cuts and quite much glass to my face and three of my theeth got
injured but nothing more serious happend to me. Uno didn´t even got a
scratch. Unfortunately I can not say the same about the elk or my car.
Both are dead. Rest in peace my sweet little VW Beetle. And an elk
that I didn´t know from before.
I was a bit suprised about Unos behaviour: he was very calm and happy
after the crush (well - a bit cold becouse we stood almoust half an
hour by the highway and waited policemen to come...) Thank you nice
unknown drivers who stopped and called to police and helped me
with the warning triange, my bleeding face and warning the other
drivers. And thank you nice polimen for taking Uno home and me to the
hospital.

Our
parent club Speciality show (SSKY) in Hyvinkää. RR entry was 27 and
the expert of the day was Mrs. Elina Haapaniemi, FI. Despite of lookin
like a tapeworm more than a dog (our little prince didn´t feel like
showing him self at all) Unos result was nicely EXC3, BM-3. Only 4
excellents was awarded in dog class. Critique added to "shows"
page.

Uno
- the fast - showed his best side in Speedrace 2006 - speeding (lure
coursing) competition in Kotka. Total entry was 105 dogs of different
breed. Dogs competed in four different class (maxi-, medi-, midi dogs
and hounds) running a 100 meter long track. Uno´s time was 7,04 s
which was the fastest time of the day.

Two
searching training sessions behind after long summer break. Both times
Uno did excellent work; first time in the woods and second time on
ruin track. Uno worked with extra high motivation, fast and exactly.
When the last guy was found he ran away from the harness and tried to
found some more (Go training break!) Few pictures from the ruins added

Nice
and sunny showday in Estonian Winner 2006, Tallinn. I want to
congratulate my special guest star and mascot Mauno (Ch Miimoksen
Bolboshoenus) and his owner Annemari for EXC1, BM-1, CAC, CACIB, BOS,
Estonian Champion and Estonian Winner 2006. Showing Mauno has always
been a pleasure for me. Thanks Annemari for nice company (and
flip-flops...) again.

International Show in Kuopio. RR entry was 8 and our judge was Mr.
Rodi Hübenthal (S). Uno´s result was EXC2, BM-3. BOB was again
norweigian male Masithelas Irresistible Chango and BOS Kamba Anatulindas
E´Zena.
Saija´s corgi "Eemi" got VG in veteran class and bullmastiff "Myytti"
was BOB-veteran and BOS. Annemari´s jackrussell "Mauno" nicely won the
best male class and ended up to BOS of the day, Anna´s RR girl "Tilda"
got VG in intermediate class and Johanna´s pharaon hound "Bondi" took
BM-3 placement. Congratulation Saija & Annemari for the nice results!

International Show in Kuopio (Sawo Show). Our gang got some nice
results to bring home.
On saturday International show Ridgeback judge was Mr. Stefan Sinko
(SL) and breed entry was 9. Uno´s result was EXC1, BM-2, res-CACIB.
Best male and BOB was handsome Norweigian male Masithelas
Irresistible Chango. BOS was also norweigian, Kamba Anatulindas E´Zena.
Saija´s corgi "Eemi" won BOB-veteran and bullmastiff "Myytti" was
BOB-veteran and finally BOB. Annemari´s jackrussell "Mauno" took the
same placement as Uno (I as handler was obviously in good BM-2 spirit
again), Anna´s RR girl "Tilda" got VG in intermediate class and the
biggest winner of the day, Johanna´s pharaon hound "Bondi" took BOB &
BIG-2.
Congratulations Saija and Johanna!
In the evening we had a little winning party in our very own (rented)
island. Luckily we had few tough quards with us so we finally got some
privacy... (Go Johanna & Uno!)

After a long day at work I packed my car and headed to north to gatch
the other girls (Annemari, Anna, Johanna, Taina, Saija, and their dogs)
who already in the morning had left to spend a nice show related
weekend to Sawo Show, Kuopio.

We
spend a HOT and sunny day in Kotka national show (our home town).
Ridgeback entry was 10 and expert for the day was Mr. Anatoly Zhuk,
BLR. Uno did nice tooking 2nd place both in champion and best male
class (CH EXC2, BM-2).
Best male and BOB was champion male Malozi Gimli and BOS Macumazahn
Harjaselän NV, "Martta" who also finalized her Champion title.
Congratulations owners (and Uno´s breeders) Sanna and Pasi!
Uno`s best friend Jackrussell terrier Mauno also (of course - that´s
what really good friends do!) took a same placement as his idol: CH
EXC2, BM-2.

We
are back home from beautiful Gotland and we have two new Swedish
champions to bring home! Uno`s friends Jackrussell terrier Mauno (Ch
Miimoksen Bolboshoenus) and Welsh corgi pembroke Friidu (Ch
Avenue) became S Ch in Visby Int show. Uno didn`t managed as
well as his friends (See
"Shows").

HOLIDAY! We`ll spend a nice and relaxing (hopefully) week in Gotland
with our dear friends (my sister and her family and my cousin Annemari)
and Uno`s dear friends (Mauno and Friidu). The trip starts today...
I wish a lovely summer for everyone. I´ll be back with updates when we
arrive.

National show in Tuuri. Ridgeback entry was only 2 (both males) and
our judge Mr. Jorma Silta, FI. Uno got excellent in champion males
which also gave him BM-1 and BOB. The judge picked us among 5
competitors (out of +10) in finals but then dropped us out. Thank you
Annemari for nice company again.

Uno
took part to speed competition (lure coursing) called Roturace. Dogs
competed in teams - 4 dogs/team. Last year our team named
MC Mjölbolsta (after breeders home village) - which consisted of Unos
sister Frida, brother Sami, relative Tosca and Uno - was the
fastest in maxi class among +50 teams and Uno ran the fastest time in
maxi dog class. This year our team consisted of Deici, Tarmo, Tosca
and Uno. We placed as fourth out of 40+ teams.

In
"Monttu 2006" lure coursing (or actually speed racing) competition in
Vihti with Uno. Uno ran the 150 meter long track in 13.9 seconds and
placed as 13th among about 60 adult ridgebacks. We had a nice day -
thank you all the brave and active organisers!

Searching training in Hamina. We took again three ready guys for Uno
and he managed very nicely. He worked with high motivation and
expression was good with every "guy". Well done my little boy.

National show in our neighbour town, Hamina. Ridgeback entry was only
5 and our judge was Mr Markku Mähönen, FI. Uno`s result was CH
EXC2, BM-3.
BOB and finally BIG-4 was junior male Harjaselän N´Tanneri. BOS was
not chosen. Congratulations to owner Päivi and breeders Sanna & Pasi
for Niilos first CAC.
On saturday 13th I showed my favourite Jack Russel-boy Mauno (Miimoksen
Bolboshoenus) and my favourite Bullmastiff-girl, Myytti (Bullcastle´s
Lady Jane) and they also did nicely: Myytti VET VG1 and Mauno OPEN
EXC1, BM-1, CAC, BOB and a brand new FIN & LV CH. Huge
congrats Annemari & Erkki!

Blood tracking with Uno. We did about 200 meter long track with two
angles for very long time. Uno remembered the name of the game very
quicky (at very first he thought I wanted him to search the guy from
the woods...) and did a great job.

Searching training with Uno in Lelu. We took three "ready guys" for
Uno and once again after little hanging around during the first search
Uno worked very nicely and with high motivation. He also did a very
good expressions in every hide.

Searching training with Uno in Saksankangas (army training area). On "take
one" Uno was just hanging around the woods, sniffing all the
interesting spring smells and marking his area so I took him back to
car to think wheather he wanted to train or not. After half an hour
thinking and board meeting with himself we tried "take two". Obviosly
he had decided he after all really wanted to train. We took two
"guys" to him and he worked fast, precisely and with high motivation.
Quite quickly he found both of the guys. So nice train after difficult
beginning.

has today confirmed Uno`s International Champion title.

In
Latvian Winner Show the expert for us was Mr. Vilmos Kardos, HUN and
Ridgeback entry was 19. Uno didn`t took any stress for yesterdays nice
results and showed as usual - cool and calmly. His result was a nice
suprise: CH EXC1, BM-1, CAC, CACIB and finally BOB. Also
Uno got two new titles: Latvian Champion and Latvian Winner 2006. Not
a bad trip at all I would say.
Saija´s bullmastiff Bullcastle´s Lady Jane "Myytti" got EXC and
placed 4th in her class.

Uno
took part to Speciality Show for FCI group VI in Riga. The show was
held in the same place than Winner Show so I was able to get the two
shows with one trip. The expert for Speciality Show was Ms. Rita
Kadine-Skadina from Lithuania and Ridgeback entry was 13.
Uno`s result was CH EXC2, BM-2. (CAC was so close...)
The day wasn`t that bad also for
other dogs with us. In Latvian Winner 2006 Show Saija´s Welsh Corgi
Pembrokes litterally took it all: Avalance "Rulla" CH EXC1, BM-1,
CAC, CACIB, BOB whitch gave "Rulla" Latvian Champion & Latvian
Winner 2006 titles. And Rullas mother, 11 year old - everyoung "nitro
clubber" Archness Bali Bonaly "Eemi" CH EXC1, BB-1, CAC, CACIB, BOS.
Also Eemi got two new titles. Huge congratulations Saija and Kari!
BUT the day wasn´t still over for our gang and there was more to come:
In Jack Russel terrier ring Annemari´s little "Mauno" - Miimoksen
Bolboshoenus made a great win with wonderful result:
OPEN EXC1, BM-1, CAC, CACIB, BOB. This win also gave Mauno the
prestigious title "Latvian Winner 2006".
Have to admit that the the days yield put a little pressure on Uno and
Myytti...

Trip
to Riga, Latvia started. Me, Annemari, Saija and five dogs headed to
Latvian Winner Show to Riga to get new experiences. If you want to
